Privacy Policy
Effective 18 September 2026
Solenne Advisors advises clients on assets and transactions that are frequently confidential. We treat information about the people who contact us with the same discretion we apply to the engagements themselves. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can require of us.
Who is responsible
Solenne Advisors is the controller of the personal information described here. For any question about this policy, or to exercise a right described below, write to begin@solenneadvisors.com.
What this website collects
Very little, by design.
The confidential intake form
The intake form on this website does not transmit anything to a server and nothing you type into it is stored by this website. When you submit it, the form assembles what you entered and opens your own email application with a message prepared. Nothing is sent until you send it. If you close the message without sending, we never receive it.
Once you do send it, we hold what you chose to tell us: your name, email address, organization, project location, area of interest, project stage, timing, and the summary you wrote.
Correspondence
If you email us, we retain the message and our reply as a business record.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested, including IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. These logs exist for security and diagnosis and are not used to build a profile of you.
What we do not do
- This website sets no cookies.
- We run no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no advertising tags.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Ever.
- We do not send marketing email. If we write to you, it is about a matter you raised.
Fonts served by Google
This website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser requests the files from Google's servers, which discloses your IP address to Google. We do not control that transfer and receive nothing from it. If you would prefer not to make that request, a content blocker or a privacy-oriented browser will prevent it, and the site remains legible in a substitute typeface.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
We use what you send us to evaluate your inquiry, respond to it, and, where an engagement follows, to perform it. Where the General Data Protection Regulation or the United Kingdom GDPR applies, our lawful bases are:
- Legitimate interests: responding to an inquiry you initiated, and keeping records of our own business.
- Performance of a contract: where you become a client.
- Legal obligation: where retention is required of us.
Who else sees it
Inquiries are read by Solenne. We disclose personal information outside the firm only in these circumstances:
- To service providers who make our operations possible, principally our hosting and email providers, under obligations of confidentiality and only as necessary.
- To professionals engaged on your matter, such as counsel, accountants, or consultants, and only with your knowledge.
- Where the law compels disclosure.
We do not disclose the existence or substance of a confidential inquiry to any other party.
International transfer
Solenne works across the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. Information you send may therefore be processed in a country other than your own, including the United States. Where information is transferred out of the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required.
How long we keep it
An inquiry that does not proceed is kept no longer than three years, so that we can recognise a returning contact and honour any conflict or confidentiality obligation arising from it. Records of an engagement are kept for the period our professional and legal obligations require, generally seven years from conclusion. Server logs are kept for the short period our host retains them.
Your rights
Subject to the law that applies to you, you may ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erase information we no longer have grounds to keep.
- Restrict or object to our use of it.
- Provide it in a portable form, or transmit it to someone else.
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave.
Write to begin@solenneadvisors.com and we will respond within one month. We will not charge you and we will not ask why.
If you are in the United Kingdom you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. In France, to the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés. In the European Economic Area, to your national supervisory authority. We would rather you raised it with us first, but that is your choice, not a condition.
Children
This website is directed to professional and institutional audiences and is not intended for anyone under sixteen. We do not knowingly collect information about children.
Security
We apply administrative and technical measures appropriate to the sensitivity of what we hold. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If you need to send us something genuinely sensitive, ask us first and we will arrange a secure method.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
